The Eighth Annual Legends of the Fly Tournament

Legends of the Fly is proud to host the eighth annual Legends of the Fly catch and release tournament on October 26, 2024. The tournament will be a slam format with the target species of Speckled Trout, Red Drum and Striped Bass. Bluefish will be the wildcard species if no one catches a slam. We will also have divisions for largest Speckled Trout, largest Red Drum, and largest Striped Bass. Beneficiaries will be Seal Kids, Project Healing Waters and Virginia Beach Schools - Environmental Studies Program.

  • Time: “First light” until 4PM *Card must be turned in my by 4PM at the reception

  • Slam Format - Speckled trout, Red drum, and Rockfish

  • Wildcard - Bluefish

  • Boats and trailers can be parked at Alanton Elementary and a shuttle will be provided
